NHL has not yet set a date for the activity to kick off at its last meeting

The NHL North American Hockey League has not yet begun the first steps to awaken activity and training in the 2019/20 season. In a press release, she, along with the League of Players Union (NHLPA), wrote that they have not yet made a decision or date on when the season aborted due to the March 12 pandemic of the new coronavirus should continue.

Following the meeting, the NHL Activities Training Committee and the League Players Union (NHLPA), in collaboration with health professionals and state and local authorities, issued club guidelines. It is now being reported that the second phase is slowly coming in, with recommendations to isolate the players and other staff of the club staff. They explained that hockey players could return to training in smaller groups in the next period, but only on club-owned facilities. Given the current situation, it appears that the second phase could start in the second half of May, when the following recommendations will be issued, and until then the activities of the clubs should be those issued after the season has stopped.

The league extended its isolation in mid-April to April 30. At the end of March, however, they set aside this year’s recruiting list for an indefinite period of time, as well as an annual end-of-season ceremony to announce the best hockey players and awards, which they plan to do on June 26-27 in Montreal. According to the original plan, the regular part of the league should end on April 4, then the playoffs with elimination fights will resume, from which Los Angeles Kings of Slovenian captain Anze Kopitar were long gone.
