Michael Bisping’s recent performance
Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, 38 years ago, but with English nationality, Michael Bisping is based in Anaheim (California, United States). Having gone through boxing, kickboxing, karate and jiu-jitsu, he started participating in mixed martial arts contests in 2004.
He has an extensive career with 37 bouts ever since. He has won 30 of them, 20 by fast definition by knockout (16) or submission (10) and a third by decision of the judges. The losses were seven, being three by knockout (two) or submission (one) and four by points.
Bisping reached the Ultimate Fighting Championship after winning 11 straight bouts early in his career. His first fight was at UFC 66 in December 2006 in the city of Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). With punches, Eric Schafer knocked out.
He has been tipped several times to dispute the world title, but suffered defeats at a time when he seemed to be missing only one step to get there. It only achieved this right by issuing a series of three consecutive victories in 2015/2016. The last was against Brazilian Anderson Silva, who was beaten by a unanimous decision by the judges at UFC Fight Night in London on February 27.
This prompted him to play for the middleweight belt with Luke Rockhold. At UFC 199, held on June 4, 2016, he only needed 3min36 to knock out the rival at the Inglewood forum (California, United States).
His first title defense took place in 2006. At UFC 204, on October 8, he overcame the judges’ unanimous decision to Dan Henderson in Manchester, England.
Since then he has not returned to the octagon. At first, he was expected to face St-Pierre in May, but the fight was delayed because his opponent had asked for more time to be able to reduce his weight sufficiently so that he could be within the regulation.

The current form of Georges St-Pierre
At age 36, Georges St-Pierre is from Saint-Isidore, Quebec, the ‘French’ part of Canada. He went through various types before reaching the octagon. He went through wrestling, boxing, jiu-jitsu and muay thai.
His cartel is a little leaner than the rival, but has a significantly higher success rate. There were 25 wins in 27 bouts. Of these, 13 were by knockout (eight) or submission (five) and 12 by points. In their defeats, the fighting did not make the last robbery. One of the fights was defined by knockout and one by submission.
St-Pierre made his debut at the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2004. By unanimous decision of the jury passed Karo Parisyan on Jan. 31 at UFC 46 based in Las Vegas.
He needed just one more win to claim the middleweight title against Matt Hughes at UFC 50 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Oct. 22. Lost by submission. It was the first defeat of his career after seven successes in a row.
A little more than two years later and five victories along the way, he had another chance to face Matt Hughes. This time at UFC 65 in Sacramento, California, he became world middleweight champion on November 18, 2006.
His reign, however, was brief. In the first title defense, on April 7, 2007 at UFC 69 in Houston (Texas, United States), he was knocked out by Matt Serra.
The title was vacated shortly after, which caused the accomplishment of a fight for definition by the interim belt. Again he climbed into the octagon to face Matt Hughes. In the third fight against the rival, it obtained the victory by submission in UFC 70, in Las Vegas. He then unified the titles by getting the revenge against Matt Serra. Won by knockout at UFC 83 on April 19, 2008. The event was held in Montreal, Quebec.
He then lined up a series of eight consecutive title defenses.
